Volcano Bay App Launches Taptu at Universal Studios Florida
Taptu is a news reader that brings your favorite curated streams together in one place. Its latest update adds the ability to mix feeds, letting you create a 'newspaper' built around your interests. You can also change the height of a stream, so that the ones you care most about take up more of your screen. You can also customize the colors used for each stream, which makes it easy to tell what your most important information is at a glance.
Another feature of the Wearable Application Platform that Universal is touting with Volcano Bay is the ability for guests to interact with the environment surrounding them using their TapuTapus. This is done at various TapTu Play points throughout the park, such as setting off water jets, dazzling lighting effects, making one of several Tiki faces stationed around the park burp and squirt water from their ears and nose and more.
You can also use your TapuTapu to hold your place in the Virtual Line(tm) for attractions - all you have to do is touch your wearable to the virtual queue totem, then go play around the park until it's time to head back to the ride. Your TapuTapu will then automatically inform you when it's time to head back.
Other notable features include a streamlined writing interface that allows you to quickly compose posts, drag and drop images from the camera or gallery, build blocks for quotes and lists and more. Users can also synchronize their Taptu feeds across all devices, including the iPhone and iPad.
